Awards and Affiliations

Fiona Miller was awarded the 2015 and 2017 Covenant Community Preschool Teacher of the Year by ECP. Miller graduated from Shippensburg University with a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education. She has eleven years of experience directing and teaching children's programs.

The Teacher of the Year award recognizes teachers who deliver the highest quality preschool experience across all the standards in the profession.

Judy Pasqualone is awarded the 2016 Covenant Community Preschool Teacher of the Year by the Early Childhood Professionals of Gaston and Lincoln Counties and CCP. She has taught early childhood education for 23 years.

“Mrs. Pasqualone presents activities to enhance the total development of young children. She models appropriate social skills by promoting conflict resolution, sharing, and turn taking, She increases expressive language and stimulates vocabulary acquisition. Mrs. Pasqualone works over and above for the success of children, parents, and the school."

Billie Riley was awarded the 2013 Covenant Community Preschool Teacher of the Year by ECP. Riley graduated from UNC Charlotte , is currently enrolled at Gaston College and has ten years of experience in working with young children. 

Fiona Miller was awarded the 2015 Covenant Community Preschool Teacher of the Year by ECP. In 2012 she received the ECP Caring Award for Gaston County. The Caring Award goes to the teacher who goes beyond expectations in preparing for and caring for young children and their families. This award also includes an engraved silver plate and $100.00. Miller graduated from Shippensburg University with a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education. She has eleven years of experience directing and teaching children's programs.
