Our Program

Our Educational Philosophy

We believe preschoolers learn best through play. While in a rich environment children experiment and explore engaging materials, as well as interact with their peers under the guidance of qualified faith filled teachers. We work with all the domains of development with an emphasis on the social-emotional development vital to a positive long-term success in school. Christian moral development is integrated throughout the school day.

Parental Involvement: Parents play a vital role in their child’s education and development from birth, a role Covenant Community Preschool builds upon by fostering parental involvement. The program features, among other things parent-teacher conferences and family events.

Covenant Community Preschool Curriculum

  • Integrates Christian morals and ethics

  • Is developmentally meaningful

  • Provides a balance between child and adult initiated activities

  • Requires on going staff training and parent involvement

  • Necessitates the staff to set goals, plan strategies for achieving them and follow up to evaluate and revise them as necessary

We hold classes during the months of September through May, basing our holidays on the Gaston County School schedule.
